SaleTrakk (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a commission and lead tracking application operated by SaleTrakk LLC, based in California. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use SaleTrakk.

By using SaleTrakk, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Information We Collect

Account information:

Your name (optional display name)
Email address (required for account creation and authentication)
Password (stored as a one-way hash — we never see your plain-text password)

Business data you enter:

Leads: client names, contact information, project details, notes
Projects: contract details, line items, commission amounts, payment records
Goals, tasks, tags, and other records you create in the app

Technical data:

IP address (logged by Supabase infrastructure for security purposes)
Browser type and operating system (standard HTTP headers)
Authentication session tokens (stored in secure cookies)

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and operate the SaleTrakk service
To authenticate your account and maintain your session
To send account-related emails (password resets, account notices)
To improve and develop the product based on aggregate usage patterns

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Supabase, a managed PostgreSQL database platform hosted in the United States. Supabase employs industry-standard security practices including encryption at rest and in transit.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption)
Database data is encrypted at rest
Row-level security (RLS) ensures you can only access your own data
Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth (based on GoTrue)

5. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

Right to know — you may request a summary of the personal information we hold about you
Right to delete — you may request deletion of your personal information
Right to opt out of sale — we do not sell personal data, so this right is already fully honored
Right to non-discrimination — exercising your privacy rights will not affect your access to the service

6. Cookies

We use cookies strictly for authentication purposes — to maintain your login session across page loads. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.

Session cookies: set by Supabase Auth when you log in, expire when you log out or the session expires
Preference cookies: we store your theme preference (light/dark) in localStorage, not a cookie

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing saletrakk@gmail.com.

8. Third-Party Services

Supabase — database, authentication, and storage. Supabase's privacy policy governs their handling of infrastructure data.
Vercel — hosting and edge network. Vercel may log request metadata (IP, path) for operational purposes.

9. Children's Privacy

SaleTrakk is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users via email or a prominent notice in the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of SaleTrakk after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
